OVERVIEW
Detroit is the birthplace of Techno. Movement Music Festival is held annually in Detroit's Hart Plaza. Movement was celebrating a 20th anniversary since the production company Paxhau took over the original Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2006, I was brought on as an assistant for the main stage — responsible for 8 sets over Memorial Day weekend. Very Thankful for New D Media Arts Founder Gabriel Hall. There are not even words!
I used my skills as a 3D Motion Designer to develop 86 custom visual loops that I used throughout the weekend. Each loop was on 4's either 4, 8, 16, or 32 seconds long.
PROJECT GOAL
Build a visual package that combines brand assets with rhythmic motion, to use and perform with live.

PROCESS
Prep started well before the festival — building a custom content library tailored to Movement's brand, including logos, background textures, and 20th anniversary year theme elements (dithering, modulation, ascii)
MOVEMENT BRAND ASSETS
I developed original loops built directly from Movement's 2026 official brand assets — translating static design into a performable visual system.
PERFORMANCES
Performed live visuals for 8 sets on the Movement main stage in front of thousands of attendees. Artists included DJ Sphinx, 999999999, Green Velvet, DJ Holographic, Borderland (Live), Collabs3000, Donato Dozzy, and Delano Smith. The weekend marked a career milestone: VJing at the festival that honor's Detroit's legacy as the birthplace of Techno.
